With America and Iran discussing nuclear treaties who is the real threat? Rebel Without a Clauses' Zachariah Jones investigates.
Like many people have the past few weeks, I’ve watched the anti-Iranian sentiment grow so much It spurred the ‘Don’t Iraq Iran’ movement, as thousands of people feared history was bound to repeat itself as the U.S.A. started to lead a media assault against the name of Iran. Once again we are presented with the idea that Iran is a nuclear threat, much like those WMD scares of Iraq in 2003. Yes, those WMD scares that turned out to be entirely un-true. Whether we are discussing human rights, or nuclear power, Iran is presented as the black sheep, the silent menace, a time bomb waiting to explode.
We couldn’t be further from the truth.
If we want to talk about a nuclear threat, let’s talk about America.
The only country in the world who has ever used a nuclear weapon.
A country which has roughly 1,800 nuclear weapons on high alert status at all times, and a country so paranoid about the threat of nuclear war, it then claims Iran a country with 0 nuclear weapons is a threat.
If we want to talk about human rights violations, lets talk about America.
200,000 Iraqi’s and 21,000 Afghani civilians have been killed by western forces in the past 10 years.
America has armed Israel with a nuclear arsenal, and supported Syrian rebels. The same Syrian rebels that went off to form ISIS.
Who is the biggest threat in the middle east? Who has really done the most damage?
So dear American Congress,
Don’t Iraq Iran.
